Art Competition Winners
Springfield Higher Education Ministry Association (SHEMA) is a Ecumenical Christian Ministry formed to serve the UIS community- Students, Faculty, Staff and Friends.
In June 2005, the SHEMA Board of Directors at the University of Illinois at Springfield generated the following program possibilities, with great hopes of implementing some of them through a part-time campus ministry venture until secure self-generated funding was available. These items were discussed without reference to a final decision or priority of implementation.
- Assistance to Students Who Are Single Parents.
- Clergy / Faculty Discussion Programs.
- Clergy / Student Programs.
- Seasonal Worship Celebrations and Meditation Services.
- Cooperative Public Service Programs.
- Collegiate Christmas or Spring Break Programs.
- Develop Student Housing Facility for International and Interfaith Programming.
